A Blog By Any Other Name

'Tis true, my friends. I am changing (have changed?) my blog name. RestorationCreations is no more. Thanks for playing, old blog name - it was fun while it lasted. It's not you, it's me. Onto my new mistress...Sawdustdesigns.net. Yeah, for now it's just a mirror of this blog...for now, but way more official-er.

"Why," you may ask? A variety of reasons, but mainly because I wasn't in love with the old name. I knew from the start that I wasn't going to stick with RC forever. You see, i'm definitely not a restoration specialist, because "restoration" means bringing something back to it's original state and "specialist" implies I'm some sort of expert craftsman. I don't and I'm not. Repair? I tinker, I alter, I convert and I re-purpose. But not restore - in the traditional sense, anyway.

So there's that, and the fact that I have actually somehow managed to fall ass-backwards into an opportunity to sell some of the stuff I have been making and posting about. And I'm not talking about the "selling girl scout cookies to your Aunt because she feels obligated to buy them" kind of sales. I'll have you know that my mom has not bought one thing from me, thankyouverymuch.

Regardless of how it's happening, to those of you who read/follow/glaze over this to see the reveal pics, and especially to those who have bought/will eventually buy one of my creations, thank you.

Anyway, if you are still reading this, please know three things:

a) this site is about to get a facelift of epic proportions. I bought a domain name, hope to be able to unveil a new logo in the next few weeks, and will continue posting as often (sporadic?) as I can.

2) I have reached a deal (in theory) with a local shop to sell some of my pieces there. If it works out, and is even remotely successful, I will consider it a modern day miracle, on par with the moon landing and the invention of electricity. More details to follow when everything is set.

d) I still feel awkward about saying this, because it has a hooker vibe to it, but I am still available for custom projects: things I've made that you like, things you like that I might be able to make, or things you've bought that I can make into something. Just email me and we can discuss. I promise you other people have! It's what's hot in 2013, along with earthy tones and open concept kitchens!

In the meantime, here is 100% of your daily value for babies in bunny coats...
